Is MacWorld's "Tim Cook reaffirms Apple's commitment to the Mac, in response to growing doubt" nitpicking?

Why the Doubt in Tim Cook and Apple's Commitment to Mac?

As much as I'm a longtime Mac user (approximately 30 years), I'm anything but an Apple fanboy. The day somebody shows me something with the attractive UI of a Mac but priced like a PC is the day I start shopping for a new rig.

And that's why I don't understand criticisms such as MacWorld's  Tim Cook reaffirms Apple's commitment to the Mac, in response to growing doubtYes, the arguments are valid...but are they necessary? In that context, would it be fair to argue that it's just nitpicking?

How ironic is it that the first blog on my Website is being published about a decade after publishing hundreds of them on other Websites, often under other people’s names?

It’s not hard to grasp, though. In fact, I find it pretty typical! So many analogies come to mind:

  • The dentist with rotting teeth.
  • The chef with the bare cupboard.
  • The landscaper with a dirt yard.
  • The financial planner with an overdrawn checking account.

Me…I’m the professional blogger with no blog of his own! Well, until now.

And that’s why this first one is being dedicated to one of my guitar heros, Ronnie Wood...
